Dogs in Romania

Here you can view all the dogs available for adoption in Romania. These dogs are available for direct adoption, meaning they can be reserved and transported directly from Romania to your home.

All our dogs are promoted using the date of birth registered to them in the Romanian system. However, please note this is an estimate and they may be slightly older or younger.

Romanian rescue dogs need patience, love, and dedicated care.

Patience truly is key.

Our dogs come from a variety of backgrounds. Some were once family pets, while others have lived as street dogs and were caught by dog catchers. No matter their past, each one deserves compassion, understanding, and the chance to feel safe and loved.

When they arrive in their new home, your dog may seem scared, distant, or prefer to be alone. This is completely normal. Give them space, allow them time to settle, and let them adjust to their new surroundings at their own pace.

We strongly encourage adopters to take time to learn about Romanian dogs and the challenges they face in their home country. Understanding their experiences is essential to supporting them as they transition into a new life.

Romanian rescue dogs are incredibly special. While they may differ from UK rescues in temperament and behaviour, they form deep, loving bonds and give their affection unconditionally.

Give them time; it will be more than worth it.

Please note: We prefer to rehome puppies to homes with existing resident dogs, as they greatly benefit from the companionship and guidance of another dog after spending their early lives with their littermates.
However, if an applicant can demonstrate that the puppy will be well-socialised with other dogs, their application will still be considered.
